Head In The Right Direction, Inc.’s mission is to promote wellness by making mental health services more accessible for all individuals and families.  We seek to assist individuals and families in reaching their full potential for living enriching and satisfying lives and gaining better understanding of their world through the interventions of qualified, competent therapists.

In line with our values, we believe professionals licensed and certified by New York State are competent to provide these types of services and must deliver these services in the least restrictive, non-stigmatizing, most accessible environment possible.  Together Here provides individual clients with competent practicing clinicians that are available to meet in on and offsite locations.  These locations are sought out for relative closeness to out clients  in neutral settings that  allow our clients to feel more comfortable and empowered during the therapeutic process. 

Our clients are individuals that are seeking group therapy services but do not wish to go to a clinic, office, or other location that may have a stigma for that individual.  Clients may seek our services because they want to seek out a group therapy experience in a location close to them .   Our therapists have various experience working with groups on various issues including, but not limited to anxiety, , interpersonal communication, anger management, emotional regulation, ands interpersonal effectiveness skills. 

“I’m working on it”” is our anger management group.  Here members meet to share and learn about personal struggles with anger.  This is an open group that meets once a week.  Members will utilize a workbook and peer support to better understand the impact of their behavior on their personal and professional relationships.  You can learn more about this group by visiting the web site: Groupangermanagement.com.   Members will solidify their motivation to maintain positive, adaptive changes that will enhance and restore these relationships.  Members will learn to better understand where anger comes from and how to better cope with these feelings.

All clients of Head In The Right Direction’s Together Here Program will have full access to the Head In The Right Direction’s web site and will be able to access resources related to their treatment through secure web site access. Clients participation is completely voluntary.  Clients will be involved for varying lengths of time.
