Not sure which option is right for you? We’re happy to help you find the best fit based on your needs and budget.

Affordable Care with Supervised Clinicians
We believe that access to quality mental health care should not be limited by cost. Our reduced-rate services are provided by highly trained clinicians completing advanced clinical training at the university level and working under the close supervision of our experienced licensed therapists.
This option is a great fit for individuals, teens, and families seeking support at a lower cost while still receiving thoughtful, consistent, and effective care.
Reduced-rate sessions also offer continuity and flexibility, with opportunities to transition within our practice as your needs evolve. Notably, the majority of our clinical interns continue on with the practice after graduation, allowing most clients to maintain their therapeutic relationship seamlessly into the next stage of care.
Other ways to pay
When you’re navigating your insurance options at Head in the Right Direction (HITRD), you can also use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to support care when appropriate. These accounts allow you to allocate pre-tax dollars toward qualified health expenses — including therapy and mental health services — to help manage out-of-pocket costs not covered by insurance. While the site doesn’t list HSA/FSA specifics word-for-word, these options are shown as a way to pay for care outside traditional in-network billing, so be sure to check with your plan about eligible services and reimbursement procedures before using funds.
You can review our current list of accepted plans on this page. If your therapist is marked as in-network, they are in-network with the plans listed here. We verify your specific benefits before your first appointment to confirm coverage details.
Before you begin, we confirm:
• Whether your plan includes mental health benefits
• Your copay or coinsurance
• Your deductible status
• Any session limits or authorization requirementsWe share this information with you in advance so you understand what to expect financially.
Your cost depends on your plan. Most clients are responsible for a copay, coinsurance, or deductible amount determined by their insurance provider. Payment is collected at the time of service based on the benefits verified.
If your plan includes a deductible, you may be responsible for the full session fee until it is met. Once your deductible is satisfied, your copay or coinsurance will apply.
We explain this clearly before your first appointment.
Yes. If your plan includes out-of-network coverage, we can provide a superbill for reimbursement submission. Reimbursement rates vary by plan and are determined by your insurance company.
If a claim is denied, we will notify you and review the reason together. In some cases, denials relate to deductible status or authorization requirements. Clients are responsible for charges not covered by insurance.
