Maybe you’ve spent years trying to make sense of why certain patterns keep showing up in your relationships, your emotions, and the way you communicate with others. Maybe you grew up in a home where emotional safety was hard to come by, where you had to figure out how to survive before you even knew how to be yourself. Now, you're ready to untangle those early experiences and start healing.
I work with individuals who are navigating the lasting impact of childhood trauma. Together, we’ll explore how those early dynamics shaped your sense of self, your relationships, and your coping strategies, and how you can begin to author a new story, one rooted in agency, connection, and emotional clarity. I also work with couples and families who feel stuck in cycles shaped by past wounds. Using a family systems approach, we’ll explore how change in one part of the system can create space for healing in the whole.
Before training as a therapist, I spent over 15 years in the field of education, supporting young people and families through complex emotional and behavioral challenges. I hold a Master’s in Adolescent Education, a Doctorate in Educational Leadership with a focus on Special Education, and I’m currently completing my second Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Manhattan College. These experiences allow me to bring a deep understanding of both individual development and the system, family, school, community that shape our lives.
Your story is unique, and the way we approach healing should be too. Whether you're drawn to narrative work, DBT, somatic practices, or an integrative approach, we’ll co-create a path forward that supports your healing .This is your story and it’s never too late to rewrite it.
