"Without struggle, there is no progress," wrote Frederick Douglass—a sentiment that resonates deeply with my approach to therapy. I believe that with the right support and a shift in perspective, individuals can tap into their innate resilience and strength, facing life’s challenges with joy and courage.
I am inspired by an integrative, systematic approach to therapy, drawing from various modalities to meet individuals, families, and couples where they are. Together, we will co-create lasting solutions and develop skills that align with the goals we identify for a happier and healthier life. While my practice incorporates techniques from many therapeutic models, I am particularly drawn to solution-focused therapy, emotion-focused therapy, play therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.
Before pursuing a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at Northwestern University, I earned a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University and a Master of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania. My professional journey began as a Humanities and dance teacher, and I have also been deeply involved in child welfare advocacy as a nonprofit founder and board member. These experiences ignited my passion for working with adolescents, couples, and families. I chose to deepen this commitment by focusing on individual growth, which I believe is uniquely fostered through one-on-one therapy and coaching. Through our work together, my goal is to empower you to embrace change, overcome obstacles, and create a fulfilling and meaningful life.
