I didn’t come to this work through a single doorway. I found my way here by accompanying people: on the sidelines, in classrooms, and in quiet counseling spaces where something real is trying to take shape. I’m especially drawn to the places where things feel uncertain or tender. The intensity of competition, the uncertainty of a life transition, and the messiness of adolescence. In that spirit, I try to show up with a stance of kinship and curiosity, believing that people don’t need to be fixed so much as understood. I work with adolescents, athletes, performers, and adults who are not just trying to perform or push through, but who are longing to feel more like themselves in the process.
Over the past decade, my work in independent schools and competitive athletics has shaped how I accompany others. As a clinical social worker, educator, and head basketball coach, I’ve had a front-row seat to both struggle and possibility; supporting teens navigating academic and social pressures, athletes and performers seeking alignment between mental performance and well-being, and adults moving through transitions in identity, work, or relationships. My approach blends evidence-based practices with a relational, strengths-based lens, with an emphasis on emotional regulation, cultural humility, resilience, and self-awareness. I aim to meet clients with compassion and honesty, holding space for both their pain and their potential.
I also maintain a dedicated Vipassana meditation practice and am pursuing certification through the Barre Center for Buddhist Studies. This contemplative foundation shapes how I sit with people: grounded in mindfulness, compassion, and a deep respect for things as they are. I hold a deep belief that people heal in spaces of belonging, where shame softens, where we are met with tenderness rather than judgment, and where we can begin to remember that we are already enough. My goal is to create that kind of space. One where clients feel seen, safe, and unhurried, and where healing unfolds through connection, clarity, and compassion.
